Family connection has been the foundation of our work from the very beginning, which is also reflected in the name of the farm. Our story began with a simple idea:
“What if we created something of our own? Something good. Something truly homemade.”
From this thought a path developed, built on our own cultivation and our own processing. From the very start, we have built our offer on raw materials from our own plantations, and processing takes place under our own management, right here on the farm.
How it all began (2014)
In 2014 we planted our first larger aronia plantation of the Nero variety, which became the foundation of the farm’s development. In spring we planted 63 seedlings as a trial, and in autumn of the same year we expanded the plantation to around 1,800 plants on 1.02 hectares. Aronia requires patience – the plants bear fruit for the first time only after three years. During that time, we carefully tended the plantation, learning and growing together with it.
Continuing development (2019)
After five years of cultivating aronia we felt that we wanted to expand our offer with a new crop that would naturally complement our work. In 2019 we planted a rosehip plantation of the varieties Rossa Piro III and Rossa Laxa on 0.68 hectares, where approximately 800 plants grow today. This marked a new chapter for the farm – new learning, adaptation and the gradual development of products that have now become an important part of our offer.
Expanding our fruit production (2023)
As the farm continued to grow, in 2023 we planted a new orchard of Williams pears (Viljamovka). The orchard covers 0.61 hectares and includes around 430 trees. This planting represents the next step in the development of the farm and enriches our offer with fruit that is valued both for fresh consumption and for processing.
At the same time, we preserved the traditional vine trellises of the Jurka grape variety, which have been present by our house for generations. The vine has always been part of our yard and our annual rhythm of work – from spring pruning to autumn harvest – and therefore Jurka is naturally included in our story and our products.
Over the years we have gradually expanded the farm, added new orchards and plantations, and developed products from aronia, rosehip, Williams pears and Jurka grapes. Each decision has been thoughtful and guided by our main principle: to grow high-quality fruit and process it ourselves, right here on the farm.
Today the farm represents a complete and integrated cycle of cultivation and processing that we develop gradually and responsibly, with a clear goal – to create products that come directly from our own work and our own land.
